Hassan Tabandeh , M.D.
Dr. Tabandeh was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He grew up in Tehran, where he attended medical school at Azad University. After returning to US he passed his board exams scoring all in the 99 percentile. He started his residency in Internal medicine at Cabrini Medical Center/ Mount Sinai school of medicine in New York. His Cardiology fellowship was completed at Westchester Medical Center/NY medical College. He has been with Virginia Cardiovascular Associates since 2003.
Dr. Tabandeh is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular disease, Nuclear Cardiology and Adult Echocardiography. He is a non-invasive cardiologist with particular focus on echocardiography. His areas of interest include Preventive cardiology and Sport Physiology.
He participates in a variety of sports including running, biking, skiing, soccer, racquetball and tennis. He has enjoyed playing classical piano since age 6 and is known for his high technical skills.
